We were unfortunately right about the NCRC file transfer, so please listen to us about TRC 3…

This was a terrible thing to be right about, but we WERE right about the dangers of the file transfer of ALL former Korean Adoption Agency files to NCRC, which happened on July 19th, 2025. Now that ALL birth family search requests must go through NCRC, there is a massive bottleneck of requests, which we tried our best to warn everyone about for 15 solid months.

Since we seem to know a thing or two, please
heed our warnings about the TRC 3 submission process through DKRG (Danish Korean Rights Group) and the related *KRG (Korean Rights) groups.

You will be able to submit your OWN cases INDEPENDENTLY of any other “representative” group to TRC 3. If you live outside of Korea, you should be able to submit your TRC 3 case through a Korean Consulate in your Western country of adoption — more information will be forthcoming directly from TRC 3. We will publicly share whatever we learn about the submission process.

TRC 3 officially begins on February 26th, 2026, and will accept submissions between February 26th, 2026 — February 25th, 2028. There will be a 2 year submission period — so please do not feel artificially pressured to submit your case immediately on February 26th, 2026!

We will freely share more information about the TRC 3 submission process, once it is announced.

Please see:

You Can Submit Your Case To TRC 3 Independently Of Any Other “Korean Rights” Group
