Records At NCRC’s Temporary Storage Facility In Goyang, Gyeonggi-do To Be Publicly Accessible Starting October 2025.

According to multiple outlets, on July 23rd, the NCRC held a press conference at the temporary storage facility in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, announcing that by the end of August, around 260,000 records from private adoption agencies will have arrived. Starting in October, 2025, Adoptees will be able to visit NCRC’s temporary storage facility in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do.
Adoptees will be able to request access to their records via the KAS (Korea Adoption Services) website starting September 16th, 2025. NCRC will scan and send requested documents or allow in-person visits to NCRC's temporary storage facility in Gyeonggi-do by reservation.

Please note - we strongly recommend that you try to request a birth family search and your records within the next 5 years (before 2030), as after 5 years, the files may move AGAIN to a different location. NCRC only has a 5 year lease on the current temporary storage facility in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do.
