Please note that my original research into Korea’s Evolving Travel Document System is no longer public. This is in part due to the prior plagiarism attempt on my original KSS K-Number research.

Despite this research no longer being public, it is still officially COPYRIGHTED.

Never did I want Paperslip.org to be about me.

Even though Paperslip.org grew directly out of my investigation into my own adoption case and that of my likely deceased twin sister, I never intended for this website to be about my case only. That is why I have rarely placed my name on this website, despite being one of the two female Co-Founders of Paperslip.org.

Unfortunately, an organized attempt to appropriate my research left me with little choice but to formally COPYRIGHT Paperslip.org in its entirety, as well as a number of its highest-value research pages.

I have decided to include my name here so that there is no “confusion” in the Korean Adoptee community as to who is responsible for my original research.

What I never anticipated was that individuals who publicly present themselves as members of the so-called "Adoptee Rights" movement would attempt to erase my authorship and claim credit for my original research into KSS K-Numbers. That is precisely what occurred on January 1st, 2023.

The attempted theft of that work was not accidental. All of those involved are well aware of my authorship. The KSS K-Number research was developed through years of painstaking investigation into the circumstances surrounding my own adoption and the case of my likely deceased twin sister. Watching others attempt to rewrite that history and present my discoveries as their own was personally devastating on many levels.

It was even more devastating to be pushed out of the TRC movement by those same "Adoptee Rights" groups, effectively denying me the opportunity to pursue justice for both my own case and my twin sister's during TRC 2.

I cannot compel other Korean Adoptee “activists” to grow a sense of ethics. I cannot prevent chronic liars from continuing to lie. I can, however, establish an indisputable legal record of authorship and protect my work accordingly.

I have always encouraged people to freely share links to Paperslip.org. The purpose of this site is to share information, make research accessible, and help others. What is not permitted is the theft or misappropriation of the original research presented here. Those who attempt to appropriate this work as their own should expect legal action.

Here is just one external example of how plagiarism and lying about one's credentials can result in eventual public humiliation.
