Adoptees can now obtain a LOT more information from NCRC (National Center for the Rights of the Child) than they previously were able to obtain from their respective Korean Adoption Agencies (including KSS).

The caveat is that NCRC’s response time will be LONG (around 5 months - 1 year) if you only do the online process, but will take a MUCH SHORTER amount of time if you successfully book IN PERSON appointments at NCRC’s TWO LOCATIONS in Korea.

Please note that BOTH online and in person processes require that you submit a Petition for Adoption Information Disclosure request to NCRC via the KAS (Korea Adoption Services) website.

Before you can submit a “Petition for Adoption Information Disclosure” To NCRC via the KAS website, you will need to FIRST create an account on the KAS website. This is the website NCRC uses.

If you experience issues creating a login  (as OFTEN happens) you should CALL, NOT EMAIL NCRC to get them to help you create a login, or to troubleshoot other issues with the KAS website which you may experience:

Once you have a login, log in to the KAS website below — be sure to use the ENGLISH and NOT the Korean website:

*Please note that you should read on the link above about the form which you will need to have completed BEFORE you submit your Petition for Adoption Information Disclosure form through the KAS website, if you do not want NCRC to redact information relating to your ADOPTIVE PARENTS in your copy of your former Korean Adoption Agency file. You will need to upload this completed form along with any relevant ID documents as part of your online Petition for Adoption Information Disclosure process.

Depending on whether you plan to have the entire process completed online, or if you plan to visit NCRC’s TWO locations in Korea IN PERSON, will determine how you fill out the form above.

For IN PERSON visits, please read more info. below.
