TRC 3 will be at least a four-year process. For many Adoptees, the extended timeline — marked by waiting, anticipation, and uncertainty — may heighten feelings of anxiety or depression. Additionally, personal reflection on adoption issues, combined with anticipated media coverage of TRC 3, may surface intense emotions connected to past or ongoing adoption-related trauma. People around the world are aware of the issues currently unfolding in the U.S., and for many Adoptees, this broader climate adds an additional and significant layer of stress.

Please take care of yourselves throughout this long process and seek mental health support if and when you need it. While we will not repeat lists of mental health providers for Korean Adoptees here, many resources are available and easy to find online for those who are looking for support.
