NCRC will redact any information in your former Korean Adoption Agency file relating to your Adoptive Parents IF you do NOT complete the “Adoptive Parents’ Consent Form (ENglish)”.

The image above shows the door to NCRC’s current file review room at their Temporary Storage Facility in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do. This is where all former Korean Adoption Agency files are currently housed, and where Adoptees can book an appointment to review their file in person.

Adoptees are only able to obtain scanned copies of their file from NCRC’s Main Office in Seoul — a separate location.

For those of you who plan to file a Petition for Adoption Information Disclosure request to NCRC via the KAS website, please know that NCRC will REDACT any information in your former Korean Adoption Agency file relating to your Adoptive Parents IF you do not complete the “Adoptive Parents’ Consent Form (ENglish)”.
