When Silence Protects the System: Challenging the Happy Narrative of Korean Adoption.
Had I just been a person to follow all the sheep and remained silent about switching due to all of the gaslighting in the community, there never would have been a documentary called "South Korea's Adoption Reckoning". The community has finally had to address some of the darker issues at the heart of Korean Adoption, and move beyond therapy and self-care which treats only the symptoms and not the root of the problem.
I may not be universally loved, but I will continue to do my best to speak the truth, even if it makes some people feel uncomfortable.
Those who passed away in the system have no one else to speak for them.
