Currently underway in Korea: the reunion of a birth family with a KSS Adoptee, whose search forms I helped submit on the final day they could still be filed directly with KSS — one day after KSS’ official deadline to do so, prior to the transfer of records to NCRC on July 19th, 2025.
On July 3rd, 2026, I had a private Zoom consultation with the spouse of the KSS Adoptee around one week prior to their trip to Korea, and set them up with some amazing resources that have really come through to help make another reunion of a KSS Adoptee with their birth family possible.
This reunion was not made possible through DNA testing, but through Paperslip’s guidance in helping the KSS Adoptee’s family navigate KSS’ now-outdated birth family search procedures, the KSS Adoptee’s family’s dedicated sleuthing, combined with my suggestions for on-the-ground investigative work in Korea.
Fingers crossed that things go well for this reunion of a KSS Adoptee with his birth family!
