Above: A May 12th, 2026 post by multiple Korean Adoptee “Rights” groups and an affiliated Korean Adoptee Tour company which SOLD TICKETS to meet with TRC 3, Subcommittee 3 Commissioner Jang Young-soo — with whom these groups met in September 2026 at TRC’s offices in Seoul.
The post says, in part:
“The tour includes a TRC Day! 👏🏻
This day is separate from the conference. It is an exclusive opportunity only for those who join the tour to meet the TRC Commissioners and the Investigators who will directly research our submitted adoption cases for evidence of human rights violations.”
Apart from EXPLICITLY SELLING ACCESS to TRC 3 Commissioners and Investigators, doesn’t this post make it sound as though BUYING ACCESS might afford some special priviliges for the gullible Adoptees who bought into this scheme? Yet in September 2026, these same Korean Adoptee “Rights” groups which had SOLD TICKETS for Adoptees to meet this TRC 3 Commissioner — without the TRC’s knowledge — promptly demanded that he RECUSE himself. In other words, these supposed Korean Adoptee “Rights” groups formally requested that the very TRC 3 Commissioner for whom ACCESS TICKETS had been SOLD to gullible Adoptees, to STEP DOWN.
The TRC recently rejected this request for TRC 3 Commissioner Jang to recuse himself.
One wonders if those naive Adoptees who BOUGHT ACCESS to TRC 3 Commissioner Jang (without his knowledge) understood in advance that the Korean Adoptee groups they had PAID in order to have SPECIAL ACCESS to TRC 3 Commissioners and Investigators were about to ask for the RECUSAL of the TRC 3 Commissioner who has direct oversight over their cases, during the very meeting these naive Adoptees had PAID to attend.
TRC 3 has recently REJECTED this request for recusal. This request for recusal was one in which I played NO role whatsoever.
Independently, multiple TRC observers noticed that ACCESS to the TRC 3 was being SOLD by these Korean Adoptee groups, and promptly wrote to the TRC to inform them of their strong DISAPPROVAL.
I have known of these Korean Adoptee groups’ unethical SALE of tickets to meet with TRC 3 Commissioners and Investigators in September 2026 since it began happening this past Summer. However, others with a conscience were the ones to write to the TRC about this problematic behavior.
The same supporting Korean Adoptee “Rights” groups who are fully aware that DKRG has no actual lawyers among its leaders, yet does NOT inform its members, have continued to engage in this further unethical conduct of SELLING ACCESS to the TRC.
ANYONE can meet with TRC 3 Commissioners and Investigators. Adoptees should NEVER be asked to BUY ACCESS to the TRC!
