Sharing Paperslip.org content without attribution violates copyright and spreads misinformation.

Sharing information outside of Paperslip.org without attribution not only violates our Legal COPYRIGHT, but also contributes to the spread of false information about documents and document styles which are specific to KSS (Korea Social Services) Adoptees ONLY.
We have already seen examples where websites supposedly devoted to Korean Adoptee birth family search STILL refer Korean Adoptees to contact the Korean Adoption Agencies, which no longer possess Korean Adoption Agency files. As of July 19th, 2025, ALL former Korean Adoption Agency files are now in the hands of NCRC.
In an example of plagiarism by a group (which we won’t name) which lacks any original knowledge about KSS, documents specific ONLY to KSS — which we first discovered and informed KSS Adoptees for years — were presented as documents which would apply to Korean Adoptees from ANY Korean Adoption Agency. This patently FALSE information only serves to mislead and confuse not only KSS Adoptees, but ALL Korean Adoptees who view this patently false information.
The spread of outdated information about birth family searches, the dilution of Paperslip's accurate, original, and copyrighted research on KSS-specific documents, and the failure to properly attribute that research by citing the relevant Paperslip pages and links all contribute to ongoing confusion among Korean Adoptees worldwide. Accurate information matters, and responsible citation is essential to preserving its integrity.
We take birth family search extremely seriously. We hope that others will, too.
